Once upon a time I used to sing songs from the radio to myself, nowdays I sing theme songs to children's show like Wonder Pets (what's going to work, Teamwork!) and Little Einsteins (we've got a mission),someone help me....

I'm so excited,we sold a cupcake canvas at a fair last week to a lady who owns a local shop, she said she was going to put it on display but I didn't really belive it but I just drove past and its in the window!! I'm really chuffed.

I'm going to start trying the home party thing with my pictures, I have my first booking ,true its my sister in law but you have to start somewhere!! Its at the end of November so hopefully people will be in the mood to buy christmas pressies.

A week since my halloween party and I feel just about recovered. Everyone made a excellent effort with costumes and the house looked all spooky so we had lots of fun.Played pin the nose on the pupmkins and wrap the mummy(with toilet roll!). Still eating all the chocolate people brought, there goes my diet (again). Now we've got the costumes will have to do it again next year.

I've been busy knitting for my son's halloween party and these are the results, I'm quite proud of myself as I've never really knitted before, have to say the patterns are genius (by Jean Greenhowe) very easy to do but you end up with impressive looking things. My son has given his seal of approval but thinks the pumpkins need eyes, some people are never happy..... (can't take credit for the witch thought, that was my mum)
so next stop Halloween party on Sunday night, 12 adults, 6 three year olds and 6 babies all in fancy dress I hope. I must be crazy!!

Am now the owner of a new felt bag made by my own fair hands. Had a really good day learning how to get wool to turn into a bag just(!) by adding soap and water, plus a heck of a lot of rubbing.Who knew! Anyway although enjoyed day not too sure about bag, went a bit wrong on the outside but was able to flip it inside out and salvage something. My mum's however was excellent (its always a bit depressing taking her along to these things, she always makes something lovely). Will try and pop some photos on at some time. At the very least I got a day off from the school run thing so that counts for a lot.

Mermaid figure

Here's my mermaid (made from a t-shirt and wire). I've brushed her tail with metalic green paint and her hair and top with gold. She's heading for a nice spot in the garden now near her fairy friend. (Click for a closer look)

Felty dilemma

Just realised I'm going on a felt making course next Thursday, how did it get to be Oct 1st so soon!! I've got to decide if I'm making a bag or a wall hanging, never been too good at decisions. A bag would be useful, but a wall hanging would look lovely in Gwen's room. What to do????????????

Spent lovely morning making my mermaid figure. Need to dry and then I can finish her tail off with metallic paint but in the meantime, here's the fairy I did last time

It's been a big one, my little boy started nursery this week, how did that happen last time I looked he was just a baby, so far so good,no major dramas, not sure he's worked out this is going to be a regular event yet. Only another 15 years to go...

Going on a crafty course tomorrow, time off for good behaviour, quite excited, going to be making a mermaid figurine out of wire and a t shirt. Made a fairy last time.

On the hushpuppyart front, new pictures and wall canvases in production going with a naval theme at the mo and making a few more transport canvases to raise our boynesslevels. I do have a tendency to lean towards the pink and pretty more and on that subject just finished new fairy/princess castle painting commission which is good to tick of my to do list
